About Lori
Lori Woods is a communications professional, writer, and photographer. Her skills include communications planning (both strategical and tactical), public relations, publicity, event planning, fundraising, web design, graphic design, photography, video, writing, and editing.
Lori began her communications career by freelancing for the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University. Soon after, she was hired to complement the Marketing and Communications team at AU's College of Liberal Arts.
Lori now works as a communications and marketing consultant. She has helped businesses, individuals, nonprofits, and educational institutions develop and implement marketing and communications strategies.
Lori has also spent time working, volunteering, photographing, and consulting at animal sanctuaries and spends her extra time rescuing and caring for displaced and abused animals. In addition to working as a marketing and fundraising consultant, Lori sits on the Board of Directors of Loving Farm Animal Sanctuary.
Lori holds a BA from UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) and a graduate degree in Education and English Language Arts from CSUN (California State University, Northridge). She’s an avid gardener, environmentalist, and conservationist. Her hobbies include reading, watching independent and foreign films, and oddly (from her years assisting a UCLA professor of medicine while attending UCLA herself), reading medical journals.
